    Thermal Systems for Chemical Detection

Birk Manufacturing designs, develops and has been recognized for the implementation of thermal systems that incorporate heaters, sensors and connectors for chemical detection applications. These thermal systems improve performance, eliminate the need for multiple vendor sources and can decrease installation times.

Birk’s engineers have developed fully customized heating elements to heat drift tubes to elevated temperatures, allowing for mass spectrometry testing. Mass spectrometry testing is crucial in chemical detection applications because it helps identify the type of chemical and the amount of chemical that is present in any given sample.

Birk’s thermal systems for chemical detection are used in airports and sporting arenas globally. They eliminate security threats and protect the United States and its allies by securing military and diplomatic locations around the world. They can be retrofitted to existing machines and can be implemented into hand-held devices depending on the application requirements.

Birk specializes in "engineered solutions," not standard products available elsewhere. Our design team thrives on developing innovative solutions to complex problems. Our continuous implementation of lean processes allows us to deliver prototypes in days or weeks, when others quote months. Each thermal system is custom-designed to meet the specific requirements of your project.
