Silicone Rubber Heating Solutions
Birk Manufacturing’s silicone rubber heaters are thin, lightweight and highly flexible yet rugged and durable. Our silicone heaters are available in two types: wire-wound and etched foil. Wire-wound silicone rubber heaters use resistance wire and are well suited for dynamic applications that involve frequent flexing and repetitive motion. They are especially suited for large-scale industrial applications due to their excellent heat transfer capabilities and ruggedness. Etched foil heaters generally offer precise heater distribution and are often used in applications requiring uniform heating. Silicone rubber is available in various thicknesses, colors and dielectrics and comes with an abrasive resistant fiberglass-reinforced silicone weave or unsupported.

Silicone Specifications

- Wire wound silicone up to 35” width with unlimited length
- Etched foil silicone up to 23.5” x 110.0”
- Voltages up to 750 Volts, and up to 30 watts per square inch (for higher densities, contact a Birk engineer)
- Temperature range of -40°C to 232°C (-40° F to 450° F)
