Updated Cleanroom Improves Precision and Delivery

In last month’s blog post, we introduced our new Laser Direct Imaging technology. This technology builds upon other work we have done in the past year to enhance our facility with significant updates to our cleanroom. 

This updated environment now plays a more critical role in meeting our customers’ growing demands. These include tight-tolerance, precision heating elements, particularly in the aerospace, medical, and semiconductor industries.

A Cleaner Space for a Higher Standard

Over the last year, we’ve updated our cleanroom with enhancements designed to minimize foreign object debris (FOD) and airborne contaminants which is critical for precision work. The improvements include:

• New HEPA filtration system with fresh air intake and positive air pressure to push contaminants out
• Custom workbenches with clear mini-hoods that allow operators to work in protected spaces
• Ionization fans to neutralize static and reduce particulate attraction

Thanks to these updates, our team has been able to dramatically reduce contamination-related scrap. This keeps costs down and improves delivery time to our customers. Combined with our use of LDI technology, which enables incredible fine-line circuitry, the cleanroom ensures our parts meet the most stringent tolerance requirements.

Smarter Workflow = Faster Delivery

Part of enhancing our cleanroom also included relocating it to a new area of our facility. This improved and optimized our production workflow. The streamlined process has increased throughput and shortened lead times, even for complex, high-precision components.
