Thermocouples
Thermocouple Sensors
Birk Manufacturing designs and manufactures high-quality thermocouple sensors. Thermocouples measure temperature based on the Seebeck effect, where a voltage is generated at the junction of two different metals when there is a temperature difference between that junction and the reference end. These robust and cost-effective thermocouples are both efficient and self-powered although not as stable or accurate as RTDs.
Our thermocouples can measure wide temperature ranges – Type J can measure from 95°C to 760°C while Type K can measure from 95°C to 1260. Our thermocouple assemblies are robust and suitable for use in harsh industrial environments and have an extremely quick response time of less than one second.
Standard Solutions
We offer a variety of in-stock thermocouples with various housing and packaging options, such as probes, bolt-on, screw-on, surface mount, and miniature. All of which can be configured by Type (J or K), wire gauge, insulation type (Fiberglass or Teflon), lead length, and connector requirement. Check our Selection Sheet to find what you’re looking for.
Customized Solutions
Birk specializes in creating custom solutions for your most complex projects. If your project goes beyond our standard thermocouple configurations, our team of engineers would be happy to support you.
